Quick answer
If you want the lightest, most portable option for travel, choose the MBX6. For a budget-friendly everyday stroller with a lie-flat seat, go with the MBX2. If you value the convenience of a fully automatic fold, the MBX7 is your best bet.
Weight vs. features: what you trade off
The MBX6 is the lightest at 6.6 kg, making it ideal for carrying onto public transport or up stairs. However, it lacks the lie-flat seat of the MBX2 and the auto-fold of the MBX7. The MBX2, at 7.9 kg, offers a lie-flat seat for newborns but is heavier and requires a manual one-hand fold. The MBX7 adds a fully automatic fold and includes a waterproof rain cover and cup holder, but it's the heaviest of the three at around 8.5 kg (estimated) and costs more.
When the fold type matters most
If you frequently fold and unfold your stroller one-handed while holding your child, the MBX2's one-hand fold is a proven solution. The MBX6 and MBX7 both offer compact folds, but the MBX7's auto-fold is a hands-free experience—just activate it and the stroller folds itself. The MBX6's fold is manual but very quick and lightweight.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Lightest carry weight: MBX6 (6.6 kg) is the easiest to lift and carry. MBX2 (7.9 kg) is still light but heavier. MBX7 is the heaviest. Choose MBX6 if you carry the stroller often.
- Fold mechanism: MBX2: one-hand manual fold. MBX6: quick manual fold. MBX7: fully automatic fold. If you want hands-free convenience, MBX7 is the only choice.
- Newborn readiness: MBX2 has a lie-flat seat suitable from birth. MBX6 and MBX7 do not specify a lie-flat seat, so you may need a separate carrycot or bassinet. MBX2 is the best value if you have a newborn.
